![]() The interactive whiteboard is just one of many technological and software developments which have recently become available: networks and the use of computer suites in primary schools, the use of laptops, wireless technology, more sophisticated and less expensive software and potentially faster, easier Internet access through broadband. ![]() Interactive whiteboards are the size of a usual class whiteboard, but are connected to a teacher's computer, which means that whatever the teacher is doing on the computer will appear on the interactive whiteboard. What are interactive whiteboards? Most schools now have interactive whiteboards (IWBs) in every classroom. Twelve group interviews (72 students) were conducted between January and Easter. Students involved in the interactive whiteboard (IWB) evaluation, sponsored by the Centre for British Teachers (CfBT), were interviewed about their perceptions of IWBs.
